A classic ceramic escutcheon available in three colours. These simplistic Victorian style key hole covers come with a pressed brass backplate and are from the same range of our 'ceramic' door knobs Ceramic door furniture was popular for almost a century, first appearing around 1830. This style was widely used in Victorian homes upstairs and servant quarters and in less grand properties due to being more affordable than brass. These handles and Escutcheons are still very popular today due to there high quality, affordability and that they are still made in the UK.
Well made, exactly match the fingerplates I also ordered. Supplied with an inner brass lining with one screw to hold it at the bottom, plus a longer screw which both secures the ceramic escutcheon and the top hole of the brass liner. Nice finish for the door particularly as our keyholes are rather ragged.
Finishes my doors off nicely, great quality.
Excellent product and looks good
