A solid ebony wood escutcheon in the traditional beehive style. Sold individually and fitted on to a nickel plated backplate. The term ‘Beehive' refers to the repeat reeded detailing. Beehive became a highly popular design born in the Regency era and used heavily throughout the Victorian period and into the early 20th Century. This piece of door furniture not only compliments many of our door handles but covers and neatens the cut hole for the key and reduces drafts.
