We have a small collection of old glass poison bottles. Some with their signature ribbed edges, some with smooth sides, generally 4 or 6 sided. Various heights. Stunning blue glass. The edges were ribbed for a reason - it was a warning to the user (who may have been short sighted) that the bottle contained a deadly liquid and must not be taken. A household would always have a bottle or two of poison in the Victorian era when rats were found lurking in many a dark corner!
I thought they would be much bigger.
Absolutely gorgeous item, really compliments my victorian fireplace. also, i had to contact willow & stone to check something and willow & stone were most helpful. delivery was very quick too - a pleasure to deal with this talented company.
