More from Willow & Stone
We are a friendly and knowledgable bunch. Here’s a little more about the team.
Im Sarah, founder of W&S and mum to two little girls, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have a degree in Illustration. My degree has helped me to run the business ‘creatively’ and good design is at the heart of everything I do.
Sian has been assistant manager for 9 years and came to us with a background in textile design with a skill for organisation and a keen eye for detail and at home has two little boys. She is passionate about our products, assisting on buying trips along with business and creative development aswell as blogging and window displays. She is an invaluable support for the running of the whole business.
Laura, a graphic design graduate and mummy, is also part of our management team. She’s calm and collected and a great problem solver. She is working on improving the overall usability of the website and enjoys looking at new ways of improving the brand. Ofcourse she has plenty of valuable creative input too enjoying creating the window displays and blog posts. She also runs her own design business on her days off. Read more here.
Felicity (part of the management team) is another talented Textiles Graduate and assists with the maintaining of the website along with implementing SEO. Fliss provides a fountain of inspiration for our many photo shoots and window displays. She’s also the DIY queen embarking on many drill and hacksaw related tasks. If you have technical issues with products you may speak to her and she’s also the person we turn to when our computer systems fail!
Catherine (on maternity leave from April 2019) is the super friendly front of house Customer Service person you are most likely talk to when calling the office to place an order. She has fantastic product knowledge and is keenly organised. She cleverly maintains our reputation for excellent customer service by her continued effort to help and resolve!. In her spare time she enjoys Charleston dancing and designs stunning jewellery.
Dawn is ‘back of house’ Customer Service – highly organised with excellent product knowledge and works closely with Catherine and Nick helping with stock control (quietly keeping us all in check so we don’t mess stock up!), lead times, ordering, dealing with suppliers and much more! She lives on a lovely old boat she’s in the midst of restoring (along with her partner and dog).
Nick is our stock coordinator dealing with stock and deliveries and liaising with our suppliers. He calmly scales our three flights of stairs dozens of times a day negotiating deliveries coming in and going out. Nick loves surfing and cooking and he’s also super knowledgeable about lighting, enjoying nothing more than trawling through vintage lighting at salvage yards. He too lives on a boat in a serenely beautiful part of the Falmouth Estuary.
Fran – Front of House Customer Service from April 2019 – I believe this lovely lady is genuinely unflappable. One day she will be working her way up in the RAF but until then we are hanging onto her and utilising her skills in being fantastic at all tasks including packing, customer service, processing and maintaining the shop!
Hazel is calm, friendly, adaptable and methodical. She works in the office processing orders throughout the week, looks after back end customer Service on a Friday and will be the person you speak to on a Saturday if you phone us. An allrounder who understands all of our processes and our brand ethos.
Lucy is a speed packer who ensures all of our parcels look like neatly wrapped christmas presents when they leave us! Incredible attention means that mistakes in customer orders are few and far between and she’s recently moved into our office as well processing orders. Along with being a cross-stitch enthusiast she’s also an off-road cyclist (I don’t know the term for a crazy fast mountain biker!) and as such very brave!
Hayley is our lovely full time Senior Sales Assistant in the shop and makes sure the it looks amazing, is ever changing, creates new displays on a daily basis, keeping the shop clean and tidy and generally making sure customers always feel looked after.
Meg works in the shop and is also another speedy packer so is an adaptable member of the team able to work in different parts of the business. Outside of W&S she’s a talented illustrator (we sell her postcards in store) and an awesome Muay Thai Kick Boxer.
Rhianna, another recent Illustration Graduate, is our newest recruit and helping Hayley run the shop and maintain our awesome customer service
Leah is a 3rd year student working for us in the shop on a more flexible basis when she can. She’s super friendly and LOVES retail!
Grace, also a student, is a friendly face in the shop, assisting customers and helping with displays on weekends and is always on hand when we need her.
