A beehive style keyhole cover. The unlaquered brass reeded 'beehive' cover sits over the plain brass backplate. This good sized piece will suit any of our 'Beehive' handles. The term ‘Beehive' refers to the repeat reeded detailing. Beehive became a highly popular design born in the Regency era and used heavily throughout the Victorian period and into the early 20th Century. This piece of door furniture not only compliments many of our door handles but covers and neatens the cut hole for the key and reduces drafts.
