A simple plain rectangular fingerplate available in two widths. Solid brass with a polished unlaquered finish. Finger plates became popular between 1850- 1950, they were not only used for a practical purpose but also became a decorative statement and more ornate depending on the popular style of the time. The finger plate also known as push plates or Door plates were used to protect the area of the door which has most contact and were widely used on most homes.
Good quality item. Fixing screws are supplied but I bought others that were more flushed (flat head) and shorter.
