A Victorian style ceramic fingerplate shaped to the top and bottom. A classic design found in thousands of period homes. Available in 3 colours. Finger plates became popular between 1850- 1950, they were not only used for a practical purpose but also became a decorative statement and more ornate depending on the popular style of the time. The finger plate also known as push plates or Door plates were used to protect the area of the door which has most contact and were widely used on most homes and the more decorative plates on larger grander period properties to make more of an interior statement.
Nicely made but sadly too wide for our edwardian doors and too expensive to post back..
Arrived in really good condition and packaged to a really high standard, very pleased with the overall service, and quality of the products.

Well made, with a consistent unmarred finish, very smooth. Comes with four brass screws for attachment. Good size to function as it is meant, eg protect the door from marks.
