USEFUL TIPS FOR OUR PRODUCTS

Pewter Patina Maintenance

How to care for your Pewter Patina products.

Our range of pewter patina products are suitable for internal and external use. The applied ‘patina’ finish highlights the texture of the steel and has excellent anti-corrosion properties. We recommend that to keep this finish looking its best it is regularly wiped with a lightly oiled clean non abrasive cloth, this will help to remove the build-up of corrosive residue from rain, salty sea air or traffic and from being used within the home which, used regularly, will help keep it protected. A 3-in-1 oil is recommended for surface and moving parts.
Do not use any form of metal cleaner or aerosol spray as this may damage the finish. We recommend that all moving parts are oiled before fitting and occasionally afterwards to keep the product moving and working correctly. (WD40 is a good one).

TOP TIP – Always drill a pilot hole for screws and rub the screw with a little candle wax before fitting to make it easier to screw them in!
