Fitting our Heavy Letter Tidy with the Classic or Traditional Letterplate
When fitting the Traditional Letterplate or Classic Letterplate with or without clapper with the Heavy Letter Tidy please follow the instructions below.
Remove the stud and nut or clapper loop and nut from the threaded bolt. You may need a bit of WD40 and pliers to help undo the stud or clapper bolt. Discard the nut and threaded bolt.
Now use the flat headed threaded bolt that comes with the Heavy Letter Tidy to pass through the hole in the letter tidy, through the door and into the back of the letterplate/stud or clapper loop.
Tighten so that the fixing is secure and both the letter tidy and letterplate are flush to the door.
