These are lovely **** but the spindle supplied is 8mm and too wide for my imperial-size Victorian door which needs a 7 or 7.6mm spindle (fairly standard apparently for any door not built to metric sizes). The old spindle didn't fit the new **** so we had to get the new one filed down before it could be used. Bit of a journey but got there in the end.
The workmanship is absolutely outstanding, so solid, so happy with my purchase.

These are expensive but excellent quality and weight. These are in our kitchen and due to the design of the doors they sometimes knock against one another. They haven’t even marked in the slightest, they’re clearly well made
