As autumn settles in and opportunities for drying washing outdoors become a little less reliable, we find ourselves appreciating the simple practicality of a Sheila Maid all over again.
We’ve been selling Sheila Maids for 20 years now, and they remain one of those brilliantly simple household designs that we never tire of. Made in the UK, these traditional ceiling-mounted clothes airers use a simple pulley system to raise washing up and out of the way, making clever use of space whilst drying in a gentle and economical way.
We especially love the original curved cast iron rack ends – an iconic design that has been in use for over 100 years and looks every bit at home in today’s kitchens and utility rooms. Available in a choice of colours, they’re paired with wooden laths to create something that is as handsome as it is practical.
