July at Willow & Stone

Summer Photoshoot

Earlier this month we had an exciting new summer photoshoot with the super talented and creative local photographer Goodrest Studios (@goodrest_studios). Fliss, Laura and Hazel spent lots of time planning the shoot, selecting products and styling them into gorgeous scenes. Fliss found us some amazing second-hand furniture pieces that were sanded down and repainted to create the perfect backdrop for our new cabinet fittings, and we used some stunning new paint colours from Lick that really made the ironmongery pop.
As well as shooting lots of exciting new products that we’ve recently added to our range, we also seized the opportunity to reshoot some of our old favourites, like the ever-handy Roller Towel Holder. We’re absolutely thrilled with the results and you’ll see some of these gorgeous images making their way onto our website over the coming weeks.

Expanding our Aged Brass range

Although we’ve been stocking this gorgeous finish for a few years now, until now our range has been mostly limited to cabinet fittings, however we’ve recently decided to give Aged Brass the attention it deserves by adding lots of new pieces to our collection.
This month has seen us introduce new lever handles, door knockers and door pulls in this beautiful warm, golden finish. Designed to mimic the appearance of unlacquered brass that has aged gracefully over time, Aged Brass is perfect for warming up a cool-tone door colour, although it looks equally fabulous against a pale pink, which we chose for our latest photoshoot.

Falmouth Cringe Festival + Falmouth International Arts Festival

Falmouth has been abuzz this month as July has seen the town host its first comedy and arts festivals. Falmouth Cringe saw a mix of nationally renowned circuit comics and up and coming local talent putting on shows in various venues across town.
Another first, Falmouth International Arts Festival (FIAF) was a jam-packed week of gigs, dance and theatre performances, as well as workshops, classes and installations, many of which were free to attend.
The W&S team had a great time watching comedy at the old Methodist Church on the moor and unwinding after work with live music at The Cornish Bank, which is conveniently located just down the road from W&S HQ. We’re all very much looking forward to next year’s events!

Staff picks this month

This month Rhianna, one of the friendly faces behind our customer service team, shares her favourite products:
Twin Wire Crest Notebooks - These notebooks have such a lovely paper quality and are the perfect size for writing down my never ending to do lists! I usually opt for an undated planner but love having the option to circle the date at the top of each page.
Hare Door Knocker - I love our new range of Brass door knockers but especially this sweet hare! He's got such character to him and looks so stunning against the bright yellow door in our product photos.
Fruit Cavallini Print - I love the bright colours and summery vibes of this illustrated wrap - it's always one that grabs my attention when I'm picking the wraps for our customer orders.
