Pressed brass fingerplate with an aged finish in a classic Art Nouveau design. Finger plates became popular between 1850- 1950, they were not only used for a practical purpose but also became a decorative statement and more ornate depending on the popular style of the time. They are also known as push plates or door plates and are used to protect the area of the door which has most contact.
