A pair of weighty door knobs in the classic 'Beehive' style with a squat profile and circular rose-plate featuring an elegant ridge. Crafted in England from unlacquered solid brass the term 'Beehive' refers to the repeat reeded detailing, which allows for pleasing tactile grip. This is a highly popular design born in the Regency era and used heavily throughout the Victorian period and into the early 20th Century.
Finished in our exquisite Soft Antiqued Brass finish, which provides a muted, sophisticated tone replicating the natural patina of heritage hardware. Because the brass is left unlacquered, it is a "living finish" designed to age gracefully and acquire a deep, unique character through use. Should you prefer a more radiant appearance, the surface can be easily polished.
